In this exciting event in Kamay Botany National Park, junior rangers pretend to be a convict for the day, role-playing what life was like for those transported to colonial Australia. Starting with receiving a sentence in the Old Bailey and ending with a timely pardon, this school holiday program gives kids valuable insight into Sydney’s convict history. They’ll also gain an understanding of the historical relationships between Aboriginal people and colonists. And they’ll learn about bush survival using Australian plants and animals.
A mix of live theatre, song and colourful stories make this a one-of-a-kind, unforgettable holiday experience!
It’s a good idea to bring a hat, sunscreen, water and raincoat for junior rangers.
