Closed areas: Campground and picnic area closed due to road conditions
Due to degraded conditions on the access road into Boundary Falls campground and picnic area following heavy rain, the access road is closed from 8am Monday 8 July until 2pm Monday 29 July 2024.
Boundary Falls, Lyrebird Falls and Duffer Falls are still accessible on foot from other campgrounds and picnic areas, but please be mindful of additional distances required to undertake these walks.

Due to pest control operations the campground, picnic areas and walking tracks accessible by Misty Creek Road are closed from 10am Wednesday 17 July until 2pm Saturday 21 September 2024. The closed areas include

Closed areas: Lyrebird Lane, western half of Glade picnic area and Glade carpark closure
The Glade Picnic Area carpark will be closed from Monday 27 May 2024 until Monday 29th July 2024. The closure will also affect the western half of The Glade picnic area. These closures will be in place while a new amenity block is constructed and associated sewer lines installed.
The eastern half of The Glade Picnic Area will remain open and accessible to walkers via the Wonga Walk track. The toilet, lookout platform and picnic shelter will remain open and be accessible to walkers.
Also note that Lyrebird Lane will be closed for this period.
The side track link from the western half of the Glade to the Wonga walk will also remain closed during this period.

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting an ongoing ground baiting program from Monday 8th July 2024 to 30th January 2025. The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of foxes.
The program will take place in Susan Island NR.
The program is designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species.
Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting location. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

Road and roadside vegetation maintenance works will be occurring on T-Ridge Road and around the Nymboida River Campground from Monday 20 May until Tuesday 9 July 2024, pending weather.

Slingsbys trail is closed until further notice due to severe flooding causing damage to infrastructure (bridge).
The western part of Syndicate walking track is closed from Tuesday 16 January 2024 until further notice. NPWS staff are working to assess the damage and repair options. The area will reopen when safe.

Safety alerts: Bangalore Falls waterfall lookout in Bindarri NP closed due to tree risk
Bangalore Falls waterfall Lookout is closed from Saturday 13th April 2024 due to recent weather event causing damage to the lookout and ongoing tree risk to visitors.
The Bangalore Falls walking track loop remains open and safe for visitors who will continue to have views of the waterfall from the walking track (it is situated several metres back from the closed off lookout).
NPWS has placed a temporary barrier to close the lookout and will assess the lookout as a priority and reopen once it can be made safe for visitors.

Closed areas: Road closure
Some areas of this park are closed until further notice due to the demolition of a bridge from a past flooding event.
The closed areas include the 4WD access to North Washpool, an area also known as Washpool rest area, entering from Baryulgil onto Collum Collum Road. The bridge is washed away at the junction of Washpool Creek and Collum Collum Road.
Please note:
- Washpool National Park’s 2WD entrance off Gwydir Highway onto Coachwood Drive and Washpool Forest Way is open.
- Bellbird campground, Coombadjha campground and the Granites lookout and picnic areas are accessible.

Closed areas: Suttons road closed permanently due to storm damage road failure
Suttons road is closed to vehicle traffic following the second major pavement collapse in an area of highly dispersible soils. Alternate access is via Granite Pit or McMullens roads.
