Severn River Nature Reserve
Overview
Severn River Nature Reserve was created in March 1968. It covers an area of 5750ha. View the detailed park and fire management documents.
There are no visitor facilities in this nature reserve, but there are good facilities nearby at Pindari Dam, Kings Plains and Kwiambal National Parks. While there is no vehicle access through this reserve, it is suited to self-reliant walkers and you can enjoy nature and low-impact activities such as birdwatching and bushwalking.
This reserve also provides important habitat for several threatened plant and animal species. To help protect these species horse riding is prohibited in nature reserves, but cycling is permitted on the management trails.
These maps give a basic overview of park attractions and facilities, and may not be detailed enough for some activities. We recommend that you buy a topographic map before you go exploring.
