Mount Mackenzie Nature Reserve
Overview
Mount Mackenzie Nature Reserve was created in December 1999. It covers an area of 141ha. View the detailed park and fire management documents.
Highlights: This nature reserve was set aside for the conservation of its tall open forest ecosystem, which contains a number of rare and endangered plant species.
Activities: You'll find a lookout and barbecue area, with a gas barbecue, at the end of the Mount Mackenzie Lookout Road.
Access: The reserve is approximately 5km south-west of Tenterfield, on the Mount Mackenzie Road.
