  • California trail - closed until late July 2025

Visitor areas that are currently closed include:

  • California Hut - closed until late July 2025

Gates have been locked, and signs are in place on closed roads. Expected reopening times are subject to weather delays.

Safety alerts: Heavy rain predicted. Roads and walking tracks could be flooded and impassable.

Heavy rain and strong winds have been experienced over the last few days.  All Grose, Jamison and Kedumba valley access routes are closed due to the increased risk of treefall and landslides. This includes: Grand Canyon, Giant Stairs, Furber Steps, Federal Pass, Golden Stairs, Kedumba Pass, Amphitheatre, Fern Bower, Mt Solitary, Ruined Castle, Victoria Falls, Horse Track, Shortridge (Lockley's Pylon to Blue Gum), Pierces Pass & Perry's Lookdown Tracks. All associated campsites are also closed (Kedumba Valley, Acacia Flat, Burra Korain and Ruined Castle). Other roads and walking tracks could be slippery, flooded and impassable.

Some parts of this park are closed from Thursday 29th May 2025 until further notice due to severe weather damage. The closed areas are:

  • Mount Royal Road
  • Youngville Campground
  • Pieries Peak Walking Track
  • Carrow Brook Walking Track
