This challenging walking track, from Wentworth Falls picnic area, explores the magical, upper section of Valley of the Waters in Jamison Valley at Blue Mountains National Park. Wentworth Pass takes in scenic waterfalls and valley views as well as magnificent forests and dense rainforest.
Begin your walk at Wentworth Falls lookout, with breath taking views across the Jamison Valley to Mount Solitary. From here you can wander down to the top of Wentworth Falls, before joining the iconic National Pass. The pool beneath Wentworth Falls is a perfect spot to relax and revel in the moist cool air on a warm day.
Taking Slack stairs you'll plunge deep into the Valley of Waters, where you’ll notice the eucalypts and angophoras give way to lush fern trees and moss-covered rocks. The track leads to Empress lookout with exceptional views. Everywhere you look there’s water; from the gentle splashing of creeks to the dull roar of cascading waterfalls.
Make sure you take a break before climbing up to Conservation Hut, where you can grab a cuppa before strolling along Shortcut track to find yourself back at Wentworth Falls picnic area.
