It provides easy access to Rockpools View that overlooks Boonoo Boonoo River and the rockpools below. This sealed, accessible track has no steps. There’s seating where you can rest and take in the natural surroundings.

The walk starts at Boonoo Boonoo Falls picnic area which has accessible parking. Wander down the short track to the viewpoint where you can see the rockpools and river teeming with wildlife. Look out for glossy black-cockatoos feeding on casuarinas, or kangaroos and wallabies, especially in the early morning and late afternoon.  Keep an eye out for endangered brush-tailed rock-wallabies which shelter in crevices and under rocky overhangs.

You can also smell and see different wildflowers including the vulnerable MacNutts wattle that blooms between July and September.

If you’re able to, you can continue on Falls Lookout walk for uninterrupted views of the waterfall or take the short Rockpool Ramble track to access the rockpools.
