Enjoy the best of the Blue Mountains and Gundungurra Country when you take on Gordon Falls to Katoomba walk. This 8km track takes 3 to 4 hours and traces the cliff-edge above Jamison Valley, with countless stunning lookouts along the way. Set in the heart of the incredible Greater Blue Mountains Area World Heritage Property, you’ll have panoramic views out to Mount Solitary for most of the walk.
Impressive vistas aren’t the only highlight though. You'll explore some of the region’s most iconic locations, including Leura Cascades and Three Sisters Aboriginal Place, an area of deep cultural significance to the Gundungurra People. You'll also get a thrill crossing Buttenshaw Bridge, built in 1935.
As you walk, breathe in the crisp mountain air, filtered by more than 90 different eucalypt species in the Blue Mountains. Enjoy cool rainforest grottos and waterfalls, and listen for the calls of lyrebirds, yellow-tailed black cockatoos, and crimson rosellas. You might even spot an eastern water dragon when crossing creeks.
At the end of the day, save some time to enjoy the rides at Scenic World. Or explore the cafes, restaurants, and art deco architecture around Katoomba. If you have time, you could also drop in to Blue Mountains Cultural Culture on Parke Street and check out the latest exhibition.
