Closed areas: Manns Road and Main Arm Road essential maintenance 7 April to 16 April 2025

NPWS is undertaking essential road maintenance in Mount Jerusalem National Park and there will be road closures effective from Monday 7 April to Wednesday 16 April 2025 inclusive. The road closures will be in place from 7:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, for the duration of the works.

Monday 7 April to Tuesday 15 April 7:00am to 5:00pm – Manns Road will be closed to all traffic from South Chowan Road north to the park boundary at Rowlands Creek. The only access in and out of the park will be via Main Arm Road to and from Mullumbimby.

Wednesday 16 April 7:00am to 5:00pm – Main Arm Road closed between park boundary and the intersection of Manns Road and Middle Ridge Road. The only access in and out of the park will be via Manns Road to and from Rowlands Creek and Uki.

Expect delays while roadworks are underway and follow the directions of roadwork signs and traffic control staff.

Other planned events: Kings Beach – not clothing optional

Kings Beach in Broken Head Nature Reserve is a culturally significant place for local Aboriginal people and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. For decades, the beach has been a place for social connection, leisure, and at times grief - with the ashes of people lost to AIDS scattered there over the years.

Kings Beach continues to be a place for the LGBTQIA+ community to enjoy, however due to increased visitation and the shared nature of this beloved destination, Kings Beach is not a designated clothing optional area.

All visitors have the right to feel safe and enjoy the beach without harassment and NPWS Officers play an important role in conserving this protected habitat. Please comply with the Broken Head Reserve Plan of Management and respect each other’s right to enjoy the beach in peace and safety.
