North Rocks Road is closed until Wednesday 31 July 2024. The road is currently unsafe to traffic. This closure maybe extended and any extension will be posted as soon as possible.

Closed areas: Cape Byron walking track closed between Lighthouse and Wategos beach
The section of the Cape Byron walking track between Wategos Beach (east) and the Cape Byron Historic Lighthouse will be closed for maintenance work until August 2024.
Vehicle access around the Cape Byron State Conservation Reserve will not be affected. Vehicles can access the Pass and Palm Valley picnic area, Wategos Beach, and the Cape Byron Historic Lighthouse.
Visitors can safely walk to the Cape Byron Historic Lighthouse via:
- Lee Lane to the Tallow Ridge Walking Track, or
- Lighthouse Road down-road
Visitors may choose to walk along Clarkes Beach to access the Pass and the Palm Valley picnic area. The section of the walking track between the Palm Valley picnic area and Wategos Beach (west) remains open.

Closed areas: Wollumbin (Mount Warning) Summit track and Aboriginal Place closed
Parts of Wollumbin National Park, including the Korrumbyn Creek picnic area, Lyrebird walking track, and visitor facilities at Breakfast Creek, are open.
Please note Mount Warning Road is flood damaged and has traffic control in place. Parking at Korrumbyn Creek and Breakfast Creek is limited.
