Located in Goonoo National Park, Rileys Dam picnic area is a great spot to enjoy a picnic or go birdwatching.
About a 30-minute drive from Dubbo, Rileys Dam picnic area is an excellent spot for a tranquil day outdoors.
Enjoy lunch at one of the picnic tables, while soaking in the beauty of majestic ironbark and cypress pine forest.
While you eat, listen for the unique calls of noisy friarbirds that can sound like a deep honk or a sharp squawk. Or look out for white-eared honeyeaters that are often spotted soaring above.
