Mihi lookout is in Oxley Wild Rivers National Park near Salisbury Waters walking track. It’s a lovely place to take in the beauty of this World-Heritage listed gorge country, near Armidale.
Mihi lookout is definitely worth a visit when you’re exploring the labyrinth of gorges that is Oxley Wild Rivers. From Dangars Falls picnic area, it’s a 4.4km (one-way) walk to reach this scenic lookout.
Head out from the picnic area along Salisbury Waters walking track, then take the short (1.1km one-way) Mihi Falls side track to reach Mihi lookout. It’s the perfect spot to take a break, enjoy a snack and immerse yourself in this ancient and beautiful landscape of Gondwana Rainforest.

Oxley Wild Rivers National Park is always open but may have to close at times due to poor weather or fire danger.

There are 3 areas in Oxley Wild Rivers National Park where you'll need day use vehicle permits: Halls Peak campground and picnic area, Riverside campground and picnic area, and Youdales Hut campground and picnic area. Day use vehicle permits can be bought online or by calling the National Parks Contact Centre on 1300 072 757. If camping, permit fees are included in the campground fee.
