Blue Mountains kids’ and family activities

Looking for something to do with the kids these school holidays? NSW National Parks offers plenty of family-friendly activities for you enjoy in Blue Mountains National Park.

These events and tours are designed for kids aged 5 to 12 years.

Become a Junior Ranger and learn navigation skills, learn about native bees and make a bee hotel, enjoy an evening spotlight tour, or have fun playing Aboriginal games for kids. Make a booking for the kids to enjoy a guided tour or event these school holidays.

Grand Cliff Top Walk guided tour

Join a National Parks ranger on a 3-hour guided tour along part of the newly completed Grand Cliff Top Walk. We’ll start at Wentworth Falls picnic area and learn about the cultural heritage and fragile ecosystems in Blue Mountains National Park

Tour time: 9.30am to 12.30pm.

Tour runs on the following Saturdays in 2025: 4 January, 11 January, 18 January, 25 January, 15 February, 1 March, 15 March, 29 March, 12 April, 19 April, 26 April 2025.

Katoomba spotlight tour

Bring a torch and join our National Parks Discovery Ranger for a spotlight tour under the stars in Katoomba. Discover amazing creatures of the night like owls, possums, and microbats on this easy 2hr tour.

Thursday 17 and 24 April, Friday 25 April, Saturday 31 May and 28 June, Thursday 10 and 17 July and Saturday 2 August 2025, 6pm to 8pm. Meet at 5.45pm.

Saturday 6 September 2025, 6.30pm to 8.30pm. Meet at 6.15pm.

Exploring Aboriginal art group workshop
