Green Cape Cottages and Telegraph Station bunkhouse are closed 1 April to 31 October 2025 due to construction works.
Contractors will be undertaking internal refurbishments, re-roofing and addressing ongoing moisture issues.
Please note, Green Cape lookout, carpark and surrounds will remain open to the public.

Closed areas: Park closed for aerial shooting for feral animal control
The following parks, reserves and areas will be closed from 2pm on Sunday 23 March until 2pm on Friday 28 March 2025 for a pest management program:
- Beowa National Park (Green Cape area), including Light to Light walk, Bittangabee campground, Mowarry campground, and Saltwater Creek campgrounds
- Nadgee Nature Reserve and
- South East Forest National Park (Nungatta Valley). Please note, the road through this park will remain open, but the land on either side is closed for this program. Please do not enter this land.
This program will involve aerial shooting during daylight hours. Feral species targeted under this program include deer, foxes and other pests. It aims to reduce the significant impact they have on native plants and animals including threatened species.
The closed areas will be signposted at relevant access points. Please avoid these areas and do not enter closed areas during this time. Please follow any directions from NPWS staff and authorised contractors.

Flood damage repair is underway between Pulpit Rock Road and Green Cape Lighthouse.
The track will remain open during construction. Please follow all signage and directions from NPWS staff and contractors.

Other planned events: Notice of 1080 ongoing baiting program
NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting an ongoing ground baiting program from Monday 03 March 2025 to Monday 29 September 2025. The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and/or foxes.
The program is designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species and will take place in:
- Araluen Nature Reserve
- Badja Swamps Nature Reserve
- Beowa National Park
- Berlang State Conservation Area
- Bondi Gulf Nature Reserve
- Bournda National Park
- Bournda Nature Reserve
- Coolumbooka Nature Reserve
- Deua National Park
- Eurobodalla National Park
- Kooraban National Park
- Majors Creek State Conservation Area
- Mimosa Rocks National Park
- Monga National Park and State Conservation Area
- South East Forest National Park
- Wadbilliga National Park
Signs will be placed at the entry to baiting locations. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands.
Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.
