Join a local Discovery Guide on a tour of the historic Davidson Whaling Station, located on the shores of the picturesque Kiah Inlet in Beowa National Park near Eden. Relax and enjoy a simple cup of tea and a chat.

2024 tour dates: Sunday 20 October. Tour time: 9am to 10.30am and 11am to 12.30pm

2025 tour dates: Thursday 2, Thursday 9, Thursday 16 January, and Tuesday 15 April. Tour time: 1.30pm to 3.30pm

Easy. Suitable for adults and children 6 years and over. There are a few steps down to the beach from the historic site.

Explore the fascinating whaling history of the Eden area on a guided tour of Davidson Whaling Station Historic Site. Learn about the area’s legendary killer whales, ‘Old Tom’ and how local Aboriginal people and the Davidson family conducted whaling operations.

We’ll share a cup of tea and chat with stories and anecdotes of life at the station 200 years ago.

Please bring a water bottle and hat. It’s a good idea to wear sunscreen and bring a jumper in case of cool weather.
