Being a volunteer for NPWS is not only personally rewarding, you’ll also greatly enhance the experience for those visiting our national parks. They may be international guests, from interstate, visiting a part of their own state they’ve never experienced, or from the local community like you. Along with raising awareness of the work of NSW National Parks and the importance of conservation, your role may also include:
- Meeting and greeting visitors
- Giving guided tours
- Managing a visitor centre
- Overseeing a museum
- Handling entry fees
- Whale watching and bird watching
- Being a campground host.
You may choose to volunteer on a regular basis, or occasionally on weekends, school holidays, or for major events. If this sounds like something you might be interested in, we look forward to hearing from you. First aid training, guiding resources and uniform are all provided.
