Overview

Yachting Point campground is located off Snowy Mountains Highway in northern Kosciuszko National Park, near Tumut. Set beside Blowering Dam, it's a great spot for fishing and water activities.

There are no camping fees at this campground but a $6 booking fee applies.

Group bookings Bookings for up to 5 sites and 20 people can be made online. School groups and commercial tour operators can submit a group booking enquiry form.

  • There are no marked sites.
  • Maximum length of stay is 14 days at this campground and 21 days in this national park.

Be sure to bring your fishing rod along to Kosciuszko National Park. Blowering Dam is a great place to try your luck at fishing for cod or redfin. You can then take advantage of the facilities nearby and cook up a storm on the barbecue. In the warmer months, the dam is also a beautiful place for a swimming in picturesque surroundings.

Southern corroboree frog conservation project

An iconic endangered species, the southern corroboree frog, found only in Kosciuszko National Park, faces the grave threat of extinction. Saving Our Species aims to prevent this from happening by battling chytrid fungus, protecting frog habitat from pests, and fostering a captive breeding program.
