Overview

Tom Groggin horse camp is the perfect start or end point for a horse riding adventure along the scenic Tom Groggin to Geehi section of National trail, in Kosciuszko National Park.

Located between Khancoban and Thredbo, and set on the banks of the upper Murray River, this is a popular spot to camp with horses and saddle up for spectacular Snowy Mountain rides.

Tom Groggin horse camp has parking for horse floats and trucks, paddocks, and water for horses. Cool mountain evenings are perfect for a fireside camp meal. You’ll need to bring your own firewood to use the fire rings.

Be sure to bring your own equipment to secure your horse in case others are using the yards and hitching rails. It’s a good idea to secure your horse at night in floats or yards, as wild horses often visit after dusk. Please bring weed-free feed for horses, ideally pellet feeds.

There are no bins at the campsite so please to take your rubbish away with you.

Bookings are required. Book online or call the National Parks Contact Centre on 1300 072 757.
