Murrumbidgee Valley National Park
Overview
Book a camping stay in the MIA 2 area of Murrumbidgee Valley National Park. Located just 15 mins from the township of Yanco, set up camp and fish, kayak and swim in the Murrumbidgee River.
You can choose to camp at any of these 7 locations when you arrive at Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area 2 (MIA 2):
- Bradshaws Beach
- Firewood Bend
- Canal Bend
- Chinamans Bend
- Kingfisher Bend
- Middle Beach
- The Hill
There are no camping fees but a $6 booking fee applies. Bookings are required.
Permitted
- Campfires are permitted between April and September.
- Collection of deadfall timber is permitted for small campfires only.
Prohibited
- You can't remove firewood from the park. Chainsaws are not permitted.
- Pets and domestics animals (other than certified assistance animals) are not permitted in Murrumbidgee Valley National Park. If you want to camp with your dog, find a campground in Murrumbidgee Valley Regional Park.
Vehicle access and road quality
All roads within Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area 2 (MIA 2) are unsealed. 4WD vehicles are recommended when wet. Campervans/RVs are permitted in this area, however not all campgrounds suit these types of vehicles.
How to get there
There are 2 entrances into Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area 2 (MIA 2). If you’re coming from Yanco:
- Travel 6km along Euroley Road.
- Turn right onto Forest Drive.
- Follow the unsealed road for 2km into MIA 2.
Or:
- Travel 1km along Euroley Road.
- Turn right off Euroley Road onto River Road.
- Follow the unsealed River Road for 7km.
- Turn left into Ski Beach entrance.
There are no rubbish collection points. Please take all rubbish when you leave.
