Visitors using the Blackfellows Point Road in the Eurobodalla National Park should expect to experience intermittent short term delays under traffic control conditions from Monday 4th to Friday 9th November 2024 for the purposes of road grading maintenance works. The affected areas are:

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting an ongoing ground baiting program from Monday 30 September 2024 to Monday 31 March 2025. The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and/or foxes.
The program is designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species and will take place in:
- Araluen Nature Reserve
- Badja Swamps Nature Reserve
- Beowa National Park
- Berlang State Conservation Area
- Bondi Gulf Nature Reserve
- Bournda National Park
- Bournda Nature Reserve
- Coolumbooka Nature Reserve
- Deua National Park
- Eurobodalla National Park
- Kooraban National Park
- Majors Creek State Conservation Area
- Mimosa Rocks National Park

- Wadbilliga National Park
Signs will be placed at the entry to baiting locations. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands.
Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

Safety alerts: Cullendulla Beach erosion
Cullendulla Beach is changing shape from the impacts of coastal erosion.
During high tide, walking access via the beach into Cullendulla Creek Nature Reserve from the carpark on Myamba Parade may be restricted by the ocean.
While in the reserve, visitors should continue to monitor conditions and time their walk with a lower tide.

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) will be conducting a baiting program using meat baits and canid pest ejectors containing 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and foxes. The program will be ongoing until Thursday 20 March 2025 in the following areas:

All baiting locations will be identifiable by signs.

Closed areas: Penance Grove Boardwalk & Walking Track Closed Permanently
Due to extensive damage to infrastructure and trees during the 2019/2020 fires, the Penance Grove Boardwalk and Walking Track have been permanently closed. Any reference to these areas on third party websites is old content and now incorrect. Due to the extent of damage and complete loss of all infrastructure, there are currently no plans to reinstate the area.
The Corn Trail walking track, Dasyurus picnic area and Mongarlowe River picnic area all remain available.

Safety alerts: Blackfellows Point road works
Following a landslip, NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is currently working to repair Blackfellows Point Road in Eurobodalla National Park. The road remains open, but temporary barriers are in place to restrict access to the affected areas.
Please drive safely, proceed cautiously, and follow the directions of road signs.

Safety alerts: River crossing to access Big Hole walking track - extreme caution advised
Access to The Big Hole walking track requires a river crossing of the Shoalhaven River.
During periods of rain, water levels of the river crossing may become too deep and fast flowing to pass, and extreme caution is advised. Visitors should not attempt crossing the river during major weather events or during prolonged periods of rain, when river levels can rise rapidly.
NPWS advises walkers to plan ahead and check the river levels in real time at NSW Office of Water - Real Time Water Data (waternsw.com.au) before setting out.

The program will take place in Conjola NP, Meroo NP, Murramarang NP and Narrawallee Creek Nature Reserve.

Parts of 1080 Road are currently not suitable for 2WD vehicles. The affected area is south of the Pooles Beach access road to 1080 Picnic Area and including 1080 Beach. Safety alerts: Bingi Dreaming track - Closed and open coastal lakes and lagoons
Bingi Dreaming track crosses openings to several Intermittently Closed and Open Coastal Lakes and Lagoons (ICOLLS). Openings of these lakes and lagoons are often unpredictable and can be quite dramatic. Please be aware that although lakes are usually only open for short periods (weeks), they can be impassable when open.
The Coila Lake opening is at the southern end of Bingi Dreaming track. Please check if this lake is open before you set out. If the opening is impassable, you won't be able to access the village of Tuross to complete the walk.

Bendethera Caves walking track and caves access is closed until further notice due to ongoing bushfire and flood recovery works - all track markers were destroyed by fire. It's dangerous to walk off designated tracks in Karst areas. Please do not enter this area, follow the directions on closure signs and do not enter any cordoned-off areas.

Please use extreme caution if traversing the river crossings and check weather conditions regularly prior to your trip in this area.
During periods of rain, water levels of the river crossings in to the Bendethera Valley campgrounds may become too deep and fast flowing to pass, and extreme caution is advised. Visitors should not attempt crossing the river in vehicles to access the campgrounds during major weather events or during prolonged periods of rain, when river levels can rise rapidly. It is never safe to drive, ride or walk through flood waters. You should check the weather forecast and NPWS website for advice prior to setting out to this remote campground, and if severe weather is forecast, reconsider your trip.

Unsealed roads and vehicle tracks in Murramarang National Park may have significant erosion and damaged sections. A high clearance vehicle and/or 4WD may be required.
North Head Road and the Old Coast Road remain suitable for 2WD vehicles. Road conditions may change at short notice. Take care and drive safely.
