The Tailors Room is one of the many restored buildings in Yerranderie Private Town, a well-preserved 1900s mining township at the end of the 4WD Oberon Colong historic stock route in remote Yerranderie Regional Park. When you stay at this cabin you’ll get an idea of what life was like for settlers in the region, but you’ll also enjoy the modern comfort of a soft bed at the end of a long day of bushwalking.
If you visit in spring or summer, you’ve got a great chance of seeing wildflowers in bloom and a variety local wildlife. When you’re out hiking, listen for the call of satin bowerbirds and lyrebirds. See if you can spy monitor lizards, wombats or dingoes in the bushlands surrounding the town.
The cabin can sleep up to 4 people, with external kitchen and bathroom facilities. It also has a verandah where you can relax at sunset after a day spent enjoying the peace, quiet and fresh air at this beautiful location.
If you’ve got a larger group, try booking a few of the other accommodations which are a stone’s throw away.
