Edward River Bridge kayak launch

On your next visit to Murray Valley Regional Park, you can enjoy kayaking or canoeing using a wheelchair-accessible launch at Edward River Bridge picnic area.

The kayak launch helps paddlers with a range of abilities and mobility restrictions get in and out of their kayak or canoe easily and safely. Specially designed for NSW National Parks, the deck was constructed using recycled plastic from the local Moama community including shopping bags, food and other household containers.

From Edward River Bridge picnic area make your way down the ramp to the platform on the riverbank. Once you’re safely seated in your kayak or canoe, launch into Edward River and paddle past the majestic river red gums and stunning wetlands. The picnic area has wheelchair-accessible parking, toilet, picnic and barbecue facilities—making it an ideal spot to enjoy a day out with the family.
