Yacaaba Headland, in southern Myall Lakes National Park at Port Stephens/Hawks Nest, is temporarily closed while environmental and cultural heritage assessments are undertaken.

Recent rain events have resulted in some sections of the Coastal Walk in Sea Acres National Park becoming eroded and slippery. The affected sections are between Miners Beach and Tacking Point Lighthouse. Walkers proceeding with the walk should exercise caution and wear appropriate footwear.
Upgrades to this section of the Coastal Walk are planned to commence Monday 22 July 2024, subject to favourable weather conditions.

A section of the Coastal Walk within Sea Acres National Park will be closed for track maintenance works from Monday 22 July to Friday 30 August 2024 (subject to favourable weather conditions). The closed section of track is between Tacking Point Lighthouse and the carpark located adjacent to the intersection of Matthew Finders Drive and Lighthouse Road.
Access from Shelly Beach and the stairs to Miners Beach will remain open.

Recent wet weather has impacted road conditions in Crowdy Bay NP. Drivers should reduce their speed and exercise caution when driving on roads throughout the park.
Access for low clearance vehicles and caravans to Diamond Head, Indian Head and Kylies Beach campgrounds is best from the north along Diamond Head Road, via Dunbogan.

The Glen Nature Reserve will be closed from Monday 29th May through to the 29th of July to allow contractors to deliver gravel to undertake Fire Access and Fire Trail (FAFT) Upgrades works. The closure has been put in place for the safety of both visitors and the contractors. The planned works and this closure may be weather dependent.

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting aerial and ground baiting programs. Aerial baiting is scheduled from Monday 10 June 2024 to Monday 17 June 2024. Ground baiting is scheduled from 10 June 2024 to Sunday 18 August 2024. The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of foxes and wild dogs.

The program is designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species, and to minimise impact of wild dogs on neighbouring stock.
Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting location. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

The boardwalk between Tamboi trail and Brambles Green campground is closed due to flood damage.
Walkers on the Mungo Track can take the detour at Mungo Brush. Please follow the walking track to the beach and then walk south for 4km. Take the slashed management trail which connects the beach to Mungo Brush Road to re-join the Mungo track.
