Turon River Road (west of the Diggings Campground) in Turon National Park will be closed due to essential road repair and maintenance from 9am Thursday 10 April 2025 to 5pm Friday 9 May 2025.
Steep Hill Road will be closed intermittently to allow for transportation of materials. In the instance of temporary closure of Steep Hill Road, access to the Diggings Campground, Woolshed Flat Campground and the rest of Turon National Park will be via Lochaber Link Road.

The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) will be conducting a baiting program using Canid Pest Ejectors (CPEs) and fresh meat baits containing 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and foxes. The 1080 bating program is ongoing and will continue to be conducted between 15 February 2025 and 15 August 2025 within Beni State Conservation Area. All baiting locations will be identifiable by signs.
Please be reminded that domestic pets are not permitted on NPWS estate. Pets and working dogs may be affected and must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity of the nature reserve and must not enter the baiting location (as 1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

Lost City North Road is temporarily open to visitors from 5pm Friday 7th February 2025 . Road improvement works have commenced and additional future works and associated closures will extend to the middle of 2025.
The improvement works at Lost City North will include road works to enable future 2WD access, native revegetation and rehabilitation works, and new visitor infrastructure including a carpark and accessible lookout.
Visitors are advised to slow down and take care due to the changed traffic conditions. A 4WD is recommended.
The Lost City Walking Track can be accessed via Lost City North Road.

Haulage trucks are in operation along Old Bells Line of Rd between the park entrance near Chifley Road (Zig Zag Railway) and Clarence Sands during the following times:
• Monday to Friday: 04.00 to 18.00
• Saturday: 04.00 to 13.00
During these times road users are reminded to:
• drive with caution
• adhere to the speed limit of 40 km/hr
• listen for truck movements via UHF-11
