NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service carries out ongoing 1080 ground baiting in Warrumbungle National Park for the control of foxes. Meat baits and canid pest ejectors containing 1080 sodium fluoroacetate poison are laid in the Park. In addition to this, an aerial baiting program is also carried out periodically to reach inaccessible areas also north of Timor Road/John Renshaw Parkway.
All baiting locations will be identifiable by signs.
Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW national parks and reserves. Pets and working dogs may be affected, and 1080 is lethal to cats and dogs. Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

Closed areas: Closed fire trails due to recent wildfire
Some fire trails of this reserve are closed due to a recent wildfire and the risk to public safety has not yet been assessed. This closure also applies to any newly constructed fire brake, may be extended and any extension will be posted as soon as possible. The closed trails are:
- Eastern Boundary Break
- East Mullane Trail
- Airstrip Trail
- Southern Boundary Break

Safety alerts: Washouts on Kaputar Road
There are significant washouts on the gravel section of Kaputar Rd in Mount Kaputar National Park.
Washouts can be harmful to vehicles and passengers. Please travel this section of road with caution and drive through washouts at very low speed.

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting an ongoing trapping program from the 10th of January to 30th June. The operation will use established traps to capture Feral Pigs.
The program will take place in Culgoa National Park
The program is designed to minimise impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species, and to minimise the impact of wild pigs on the environment

Fire bans: Park Fire Ban
A Park Fire Ban is in place in this park and remains in effect unless otherwise extended or removed. During Park Fire Ban periods, all campfires and solid fuel (wood, heat beads, charcoal, briquettes, hexamine) barbecues and stoves are prohibited. Gas and electric barbecues and cookers are permitted, as long as:
- They are under the direct control of a responsible adult, who is present at all times during operation
- The area within two metres of the barbecue is cleared of all flammable materials
- There is a ready supply of water adequate to extinguish all flames (minimum of a bucket)
If a Total Fire Ban is in place, different rules apply. Contact the Barwon Area office on (02) 6792 7300 before bringing a gas or electric barbecue or cooker.

Ground baiting will occur in Pilliga National Park and Pilliga State Conservation Area.
The program is designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species.
Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting location.
Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.
