Getting there and parking

Yanga Homestead is in the Homestead precinct of Yanga National Park. To get there:

  • From Balranald, travel east along Sturt Highway for 7km.
  • Turn right into Yanga picnic area just over Yanga Creek
  • Turn left at the Yanga National Park sign and drive 2km along unsealed road to Yanga Homestead

There are some parts of Yanga Homestead where people with reduced mobility may need assistance:

  • There's a step to get from the surrounding grounds onto the timber verandah and another step to get through the main entrance of the homestead
  • The doorway is a single door without lever handles, an intercom or doorbell

The grounds around the homestead and inside the building are both flat and step-free. There are hard-packed ground and gravel pathways that lead around the building and through the gardens.

The toilets at the homestead are not accessible, but there are public toilets at the park office nearby which are accessible.
