Formed track: The walk starts off as a 1m-wide hard-packed ground track from the visitor centre. It widens to 4m as you head down Yena vehicle trail before narrowing to 1.5m-wide on the loop part of the track.
Partway along the loop part of the walk, there's a 20m-long wooden elevated walkway.
Steps
Occasional steps: There are no built steps along this walk, but you'll need to step up and down at points where there's uneven ground and when you get to the elevated walkway.

Pinch points: There are points where the track narrows due to rocks and plants.
Getting there and parking
Banks-Solander track is in the Kurnell precinct of Kamay Botany Bay National Park.
To access the track, park at Commemoration Flat and walk along Cape Solander Drive. Follow signage and take care near the road. To get there:
- Follow Captain Cook Drive towards Kurnell
- At the T intersection turn left and take the next right in to Cape Solander Drive

Parking is available at Commemoration Flat including 2 accessible parking spaces. There are also some designated parking spaces on Cape Solander Drive.

The nearest toilets are located at Commemoration Flat picnic area.

There's a bench seat in the north of the walk, just after the track crosses Cape Solander Drive.

Banks-Solander track is a mostly flat hard-packed ground walk with an elevated walkway along part of the track.
There are some points where you may need assistance:
- Although there are no built steps, there are many places where you'll need to step up and down due to uneven ground and at the elevated walkway.
- There are points where the track narrows due to rocks and plants.
There is a bench seat for resting in the northern part of the walk and 2 accessible parking spaces nearby at Commemoration Flat picnic area.
There are also toilets at Commemoration Flat picnic area, but they're not accessible or ambulant.

$8 per vehicle per day applies in the Kurnell area only. The park has coin-operated pay and display machines - please bring correct coins. The park also has credit card accepting payment facilities.
