Getting there and parking
Corkwood and Scribbly Gum walking track is in the most northern node of Station Creek campground, in the southern precinct of Yuraygir National Park. To get there from Coffs Harbour:
- Travel north on Pacific Highway for 46km
- Turn right onto McPhillips Road
- Follow the signs for approximately 12km to the park boundary entrance
From Grafton:
- Travel south on Pacific Highway for 38km
- Turn right onto McPhillips Road
- Follow the signs for approximately 12km to the park boundary entrance
Road quality
To reach the start of the track you'll need to drive down a long dirt road through NSW National Parks and Forestry estates. We recommend using a high-clearance 4WD.
Parking
Parking is available in a hard-packed ground carpark at Station Creek campground.

Autumn
Autumn is the perfect time of year to go beach fishing along the park's coastline.
Spring
The park's heathlands provide a spectacular display of wildflowers. Check them out on your choice of walking track, including the Wilsons Headland walk and, of course, the Yuraygir coastal walk.
Summer
Visit in summer to make the most of the park's countless beaches and waterways. Swim, surf or snorkel – cooling sea breezes provide welcome relief in hot weather.
Winter
Plan a winter trip to go whale watching. The sight of migrating whales swimming north to warmer waters is second-to-none, and there are magnificent viewing points at Red Cliffs lookout and Brooms Head.

Corkwood and Scribbly Gum walking track is 1 to 1.5m wide mowed grass, with some soft sand sections. It's mostly flat with no steps and some gentle hills.
There are some parts of the track where people with reduced mobility may need assistance:
- The track may narrow at points due to rocks, tree roots and plants
- There may be fallen tree limbs at points along the track
