Getting there and parking
Mungo Visitor Centre is in the south western precinct of Mungo National Park. To get there:
- From Sturt Highway, take Silver City Highway south of Mildura.
- Turn right into Arumpo Road and follow to the end
- Turn left into Balranald Road
- Take the first right into Mailbox Road and continue to the visitor centre

Parking is available in a large bitumen carpark at Mungo Visitor Centre.

Step-free access
Mungo Visitor Centre is flat and step-free both inside and outside the building:
- There's easy access to all the displays
- There's a wide outdoor area with concrete and paved pathways that lead to the carpark and surrounding facilities including the nearby shearers quarters, picnic shelters, tables and benches.
- Step-free outdoor pathways
- Step-free main entrance to the building

Accessibility
Disability access level - easy
Mungo Visitor Centre is flat and step-free, with the following accessible facilities:
- Swing doors with lever handles at the main entrance
- Easy access to the displays
- Concrete and paved pathways that lead from the carpark to the visitor centre and surrounding facilities
- Accessible toilets and showers at the shearers quarters next door
- A bench seat for resting
There are also toilets at the visitor centre, but the ramp to access them is steep and assistance may be required.
Prohibited
Camping
Camping is not permitted at Mungo Visitor Centre. Campsites are available at Main campground or at Belah campground.
Drones
Flying drones in Mungo National Park is not permitted unless you've received written agreement from the Park Office before your visit. Please note that a consent to fly a drone in this park is only permitted in exceptional circumstances with endorsement from the traditional owners. Pets

Mungo National Park is always open but may have to close at times due to poor weather or fire danger.

Park entry fees:
$8 per vehicle per day. Fees are payable through self-registration envelopes outside Mungo Visitor Centre. Different fees apply for commercial tour operators and vehicles with 8 seats or more.
