Getting there and parking

Wentworth Falls picnic area is in the Wentworth Falls-Katoomba area of Blue Mountains National Park. To get there:
- Take Great Western Highway to Wentworth Falls
- Turn on to Falls Road at the traffic lights and follow to the end, where you'll reach the picnic area.

Parking
Parking is available in a paved carpark at Wentworth Falls picnic area, including 2 accessible parking spaces. Bus parking is also available.
It can be a busy place on the weekend, when parking might be limited.
Facilities
Although there are no barbecues here you can bring your own gas or fuel stove to use. Please be aware that these cannot be used if there is a park fire ban or Total Fire Ban on the day of your picnic.

While water is available at the picnic area, it's a good idea to bring some extra water with you.
Step-free access
The picnic area is mostly flat, with concrete and hard-packed ground pathways.
There are steps along some of the pathways, but there are also alternate paths that are step-free.

There are 5 bench seats in the southern part of the picnic area near where Den Fenella walking track begins.

Wentworth Falls picnic area is fully accessible, with:
- Flat and gently sloped concrete and hard-packed ground pathways
- Accessible toilets set along a concrete path
- Accessible picnic tables
- Bench seats for resting in the southern part of the picnic area
- 2 accessible parking spaces in the paved carpark
Some of the picnic tables are not set along pathways - you'll need to cross over flat grass to reach them.
Prohibited
Drones
Flying a drone for recreational purposes is prohibited in this area. Drones may affect public enjoyment, safety and privacy, interfere with park operations, or pose a threat to wildlife. See the Drones in Parks policy.
This area may be a declared Drone Exclusion Zone, or may be subject to Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) rules for flying near airports, aerodromes and helicopter landing sites. See CASA's Drone Flyer Rules.
Commercial filming and photography
Commercial filming or photography is prohibited without prior consent. You must apply for permission and contact the local office.
Pets
Pets and domestic animals (other than certified assistance animals) are not permitted. Find out which regional parks allow dog walking and see the pets in parks policy for more information.

NSW national parks are no smoking areas.
