Getting there and parking

Elizabeth Beach picnic area is in Booti Booti National Park. To get there from Forster, follow The Lakes Way through the national park then turn left onto Lakeside Crescent. Elizabeth Beach is to your left.

Parking is available in a gravel carpark at the picnic area. You can also park at The Ruins campground, Elizabeth Beach, or Sunset picnic area, all accessible via The Lakes Way.

Beaches in this park are not patrolled and can have strong rip currents. These beach safety tips will help you and your family stay safe in the water.

Elizabeth Beach is only patrolled during the summer months. The surf can be unpredictable so please be extremely cautious when swimming at Elizabath Beach.

Elizabeth Bay picnic area is flat and step-free, with accessible picnic tables.

There are some areas where assistance is required:

  • There are no pathways -  you'll need to cross over flat grass to reach the facilities
  • The toilets and showers at the picnic area are not accessible

A current NSW recreational fishing licence is required when fishing in all waters.
