From 6am, Saturday 28 December 2024 until 6am, Friday 3 January 2025:
- Bradleys Head, Mosman is closed to vehicles from Saturday 28 December and closed to pedestrians from 6am, Tuesday 31 December. Gates open at 3pm for New Years Eve event ticket holders (booked out).
From 6am, Monday 30 December 2024 until 6am, Friday 3 January 2025:
- Clark Island - ferries depart from Rose Bay on Tuesday 31 December for New Years Eve event ticket holders (booked out).
- Boowambillee Shark Island - ferries depart from Rose Bay on Tuesday 31 December for New Years Eve event ticket holders (booked out).
From Tuesday 31 December 2024 until 6am, Wednesday 1 January 2025:
- Strickland Estate, Vaucluse is closed from 6am. Gates open at 5pm for New Years Eve event ticket holders (booked out).
- Milk Beach, Vaucluse is closed from 3pm.
- South Head, Watsons Bay (including Lady Bay Beach) is closed from 5pm.
- Bottle and Glass, Vaucluse is closed from 5pm.
- Hermitage foreshore, Vaucluse is closed from 5pm.
- Steele Point Road, Nielsen Park, Vaucluse is closed from 5pm.

Closed areas: Pennant Hills Park fire trail surface works
Surface works will be carried out on the Pennant Hills Park fire trail in Lane Cove National Park starting on Monday 9 December to Monday 23 December 2024 inclusive, weather permitting. The work will take place from the National Park section of the fire trail near Pennant Hills Park down to the intersection with the Devlins Creek trail. Safety alerts: Landslide on Auxillary trail- Heathcote National Park
A landslip occurred on an auxillary trail (near Dingo tunnel) off Lower pipeline fire trail in April 2024. Pedestrians and Cyclists are not permitted to pass the landslip.
Authorised Vehicles are not permitted to drive the auxillary trial until further notice.
There are no walking tracks or visitors facilities in this area.

The eastern section of Malabar Headland National Park will be closed on the following dates/times due to ANZAC Rifle Range operations:
- Every Saturday, 8am to 5pm
- The 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month, 8am to 5pm (Note - First Sunday shooting in 2025 will be 26 January)
- NSW Kings - Wednesday 22 to Sunday 26 January 2025 (5 days)
Do not enter the eastern section of the national park (including Boora Point walking track) when:
- Red flags are flying above the range
- The 'rifle range in use' warning signs are displayed at the park entry (South Maroubra Beach and Fishermans Road carpark).
- Park entry gates are closed.

Closed areas: Royal Coast Track - partial closure
Walking the full length of The Coast track from Otford to Bundeena or Bundeena to Otford is not currently possible due to several track closures along its length. These closures are necessary due to erosion, rockfall risk and ongoing track upgrade works.
Please note the following closures:
- The Garie to Little Garie section of The Coast track is closed due to hazardous rockfalls and erosion
- North Era campground is closed until further notice
- Garie Road, Garie Beach and the Garie precinct is closed until further notice due to damage and subsidence of the road surface. Walkers approaching from the north (e.g. from Wattamolla or Bundeena) should exit the track via Curra Moors track.
Bushwalker access is available for the following sections of The Coast track:
- South bound access - Bundeena to Curra Moors track via Wattamolla and return only. There's no access to Garie Beach.
- North bound access - Is via Garawarra Farm Ridge trail and Burgh Ridge track to North Era and return, during track upgrades.

The Bluefish Point bushland area is closed to public access for public safety and to protect the landscape and important plant and animal communities. Access to rock pools is difficult and dangerous. Skylight cave is permanently closed to visitors due to serious safety risks. The cave is mid-way down an unstable cliff, and the risk of falling off the cliff edge while trying to reach it makes it very dangerous.
There is no approved public access walking track to Skylight cave. Please do not risk your safety trying to reach this location.
