Evans lookout

Evans lookout is in the Blackheath area of Blue Mountains National Park.To get there:

• Take Great Western Highway towards Blackheath
• Turn on to Evans Lookout Road, east of Blackheath village
• Follow Evans Lookout Road around 3km to its end, where you'll reach the Evans lookout carpark.

Road quality

The road is unsealed from Neates Glen to Evans lookout but is mostly suitable for 2WD.

Parking

• There's a carpark at Evans lookout including 2 accessible parking spaces for those with an Australian Disability Parking Permit or a NSW Mobility Parking Scheme permit.
• If Evans lookout carpark is full you can also use the nearby Grand Canyon carpark.

There's an accessible toilet at the lookout. You can reach the toilet block via a concrete path.

The lookout and surrounding area is step-free and mostly flat. There are concrete and paved stone pathways from the carpark to the information shelter, lookout and toilets.

On the way to the lookout, there's a metal ramp with handrails that has a maximum gradient of 1:14.

There are wooden benches and seats made out of rock slabs at the lookout. All seats have armrests.
