Applies from Sun 27 Apr 2025, 2.00pm to Sat 31 May 2025, 2.00pm. Last reviewed: Thu 27 Mar 2025, 9.00am Riverside campground and day-use area will be closed from 2PM Sunday 27 April until 2PM Saturday 31 May 2025 due to major track works on the Riverside Trail. Vehicle access along the Riverside Trail is strictly prohibited during this time. Penalties apply for non-compliance. Hike in access to the Apsley River from Budds Mare is still permitted during this time, but facilities at Riverside will remain closed to park visitors. Oxley Wild Rivers National Park is always open but may have to close at times due to poor weather or fire danger.
There are 3 areas in Oxley Wild Rivers National Park where you'll need day use vehicle permits: Halls Peak campground and picnic area, Riverside campground and picnic area, and Youdales Hut campground and picnic area. Day use vehicle permits can be bought online or by calling the National Parks Contact Centre on 1300 072 757. If camping, permit fees are included in the campground fee.
