Due to heavy rainfall, the Capertee River may rise rapidly and not allow access or egress to the following visitor facilities:

• Coorongooba Campground
• Capertee Campground
• Capertee Homestead
• Capertee Cottage
• Day use areas in Capertee NP
• Glen Davis Shale Mine.

Remember, it’s never safe to drive, ride or walk through flood waters, so you’ll need to reschedule your visit and avoid travel through areas in this park.

You'll need to bring your own water for drinking and cooking in Capertee National Park. Water supplied at Capertee Homestead and Capertee Cottage is untreated and only suitable for showering and washing dishes.

Campers at Capertee and Policemans Point campgrounds should not use water from Capertee River for drinking or cooking.
