Highlights

The park is located only 3km west of Katoomba, surrounded by the sandstone cliffs and tall eucalypt forests of the Blue Mountains. Accessed along Pulpit Hill Road, you’ll find bushwalking tracks, lookouts with stunning views, and world-class rock climbing.

This is a fantastic place for birdwatching, with colourful crimson rosellas and king parrots, and noisy sulphur-crested and yellow-tailed black cockatoos commonly seen. If you’re lucky, you might be treated to a performance by a lyrebird or a soaring wedge-tailed eagle. At night, keen wildlife spotters may see yellow-bellied gliders and elusive spotted-tailed quolls.

In late spring and early summer the heathlands at the edge of the escarpment bloom with wildflowers, like golden hairpin banksia and white flowering tea tree.

Dog walking is permitted in this park. You will need to keep them on a leash at all times and remember to pick up after them. Horse riding and camping is not permitted.

Please keep well back from cliff edges and waterfalls at all times, especially when taking photos.
