Brigalow Nature Reserve
Overview
Brigalow Nature Reserve was created in December 1986. It covers an area of 202ha. View the detailed park and fire management documents.
This nature reserve contains significant stands of brigalow, a species that's becoming rare in NSW due to the impacts of agricultural clearing. The threatened black-striped wallaby and spiny pepercress are also found in the reserve.
The primary management objective for this reserve is to maintain this representative sample of brigalow scrub in as natural a state as possible. Access is restricted except for research and management purposes.
The name of the park was changed to Brigalow Nature Reserve on 31 January 2014.
