Available for hire 7 days a week, except 25 and 31 December and 1 January. All events must be finished 4.30pm, with an option to extend at an additional cost. Blue Mountains Heritage Centre and outside area are not available for exclusive use.

Getting there and parking

Blue Mountains Heritage Centre is in the Blackheath area of Blue Mountains National Park.

To get there from Sydney:

  • Turn right off Great Western Highway, at Blackheath traffic lights, into Govetts Leap Road.
  • Drive for 2.5km. After passing through the park entrance, take the second exit from the roundabout.

Parking is available at Blue Mountains Heritage Centre, including several designated accessible spots. Bus parking is available. Coach parking is available for groups.

By bike

Bike parking and stands are available.

By public transport

Blue Mountains Heritage Centre is around 3km from Blackheath train station. It's a 30min walk via Govetts Leap Road, or you can take bus 698 to the visitor centre. Visit Transport for NSW for timetables.

Facilities

Please leave the area clean and tidy and take all rubbish with you when you go. All waste is to be removed from the park and not deposited in the park bins. There may be a fee if significant cleaning is required.

  • Area is fully wheelchair-accessible
  • Free of obstacles such as steps, rough terrain or significant slopes, and may have ramps or boardwalks.
  • A wheelchair-accessible toilet is located inside Blue Mountains Heritage Centre.

Decorations, structures and furniture

  • Florists are required to use plastic drop sheets when preparing flowers and discard all excess plant material into a garbage bag.
  • Furniture such as tables, chairs and table decorations are permitted.

Prohibited

Balloons, plant materials and animals are not permitted, including:

  • Decorations consisting of flowers or plant materials that contain seeds or vines and exotic plant materials
  • Throwing confetti, rice, petals or streamers.
  • The use of tacks, nails, florist putty or similar is not to be used as part of any decoration.

Signs, structures and open flames

  • Decorations cannot be attached to walls
  • Alterations to the existing external fabric of the building are not permitted
  • Signs associated with the event cannot be attached to any NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service asset, including signs, posts and trees.
  • Candles and open flames are not permitted.
