Join a local Discovery guide on a tour of the historic Davidson Whaling Station, located on the shores of the picturesque Kiah Inlet in Beowa National Park near Eden.

When

2025: 10 and 15 April, 10 July, 25 September and 2 October.

2026: 8, 15 and 22 January.

Tour time: 1.30pm to 3.30pm

Easy. Suitable for adults and children 6 years and over. There are a few steps down to the beach from the historic site.

Adult $20 per person. Child $14 per person. Family (2 adults and 2 children) $60.

Tours are available during school holidays and by request for groups and schools (minimum 14 people). Email for group bookings.

Please bring a water bottle and hat. It’s a good idea to wear sunscreen and bring a jumper in case of cool weather.

Getting there and parking

Davidson Whaling Station Historic Site is approximately 10 minutes' drive south from Beowa National Park.

To get there:

  • Travel south from Eden on the Princes Highway for 18km
  • Turn off at Edrom Road and drive for 11km
  • Turn left into Boyd Road
  • Drive for 4km to the station’s carpark
