Overview
Join a local Discovery guide on a tour of the historic Davidson Whaling Station, located on the shores of the picturesque Kiah Inlet in Beowa National Park near Eden.

2025: 10 and 15 April, 10 July, 25 September and 2 October.
2026: 8, 15 and 22 January.
Tour time: 1.30pm to 3.30pm

- Easy. Suitable for adults and children 6 years and over. There are a few steps down to the beach from the historic site.

Explore the fascinating whaling history of the Eden area on a guided tour of Davidson Whaling Station Historic Site. Learn about the area’s legendary killer whales, ‘Old Tom’ and how local Aboriginal people and the Davidson family conducted whaling operations.
We’ll share stories of life at the station from over 200 years ago.
Enjoy a picnic or explore the Inlet or nearby Boyds Tower. You’ll gain an appreciation for the natural and historical aspects that make this a truly special place.
Please bring a water bottle and hat. It’s a good idea to wear sunscreen and bring a jumper in case of cool weather.

Getting there and parking
Davidson Whaling Station Historic Site is approximately 10 minutes' drive south from Beowa National Park.
To get there:
- Travel south from Eden on the Princes Highway for 18km
- Turn off at Edrom Road and drive for 11km
- Turn left into Boyd Road
- Drive for 4km to the station’s carpark
