Set up camp in beautiful rainforest surrounds just a short walk from your car at Coombadjha campground. This easily accessed rainforest retreat makes an excellent base for a couple of days exploring the World Heritage delights of Washpool National Park.
After you’ve set up your tent, stretch your legs along the short and easy Coombadjha nature stroll or spend the day discovering the beautiful 8.5km Washpool walk, a circuit that climbs through rainforest and dry forest before descending to cross Coombadjha creek. You’ll see rare giant red cedar, coachwood, crabapple, figs and lilly pillies, a special feature of this walk. There are also many places for quiet contemplation along the way, like the pretty Summit falls.
Coombadjha campground is a wonderful location for rainforest ambles and spotting wildlife. On warmer days, you’ll relish cooling off in Coombadjha creek’s natural swimming pool.

Washpool National Park is always open but may have to close at times due to poor weather or fire danger.

Park entry fees:
$8 per vehicle per day applies only at attractions in the Glen Innes area. The park uses a self-registration fee collection system. Please bring the correct change and display your receipt.
